Summer Term 2 Remote Learning

We hope you and your family are keeping well in these unusual times.

As part of our plans to support remote teaching and learning, we will be utilising the resources from Oak National Academy.

This online classroom has been created by teachers specifically to support pupils’ learning at home. Oak is a free website available at www.thenational.academy. It is backed by the Department for Education, and in the document below you will find a table to signpost to a range of lessons from across the curriculum.

You can access Oak’s online classroom on any device, you don’t need to log in or remember a password. Each lesson is delivered by a trained teacher, over a pre-recorded video, and it’s very clear at the start of each session anything you might need (such as pens, paper etc). The lessons are designed to need minimal supervision, although this will depend on the age of your child.

All class teachers are aware of the work being set for their year groups and can be emailed at any time; however, due to some members of staff working with groups of children in school, responses may be slower than usual. To contact teachers directly, continue to use the Contact Us section below.

Along with the lessons provided from the Oak National Academy, we have tried to include some extra activities, which are linked to the project the children would have been doing in this summer term.

Each week there will be a video uploaded from your teacher on the Video Resource Centre so please continue to check this page for updates.

Keep safe and remember to keep smiling!

Term 6 - Oak Academy Learning

Monday 25th - June 1st

Happy half term Owls!

Hello Owls, I hope you are all well and keeping safe. I miss you all so much and think about you all lots. It is half term break and I hope you all have a lovely half term and a well deserved break. I would like to thank each and everyone of you for all of the fantastic hard work you have put in over Term 5 and dealing with our new 'normal'. You have all been fantastic and I am SUPER proud of you all!

There will be no work set for this week because it is half term but you may have noticed there is work set for the week commencing the 1st. This is because our laptops are being taken in over the half term to be updated.  As usual there is no expectation to complete all of this work, but it is there if you would like to access it. I will still be able to respond to messages and tweets as i will have my Ipad so keep them coping!

From Monday 8th June our home learning is changing because all staff will be back in school - more detail will follow shortly.

As you may have heard the government have asked that school's start to bring back Year 6, 1 and Reception. Our Infinity Academy Schools have decided that for the time being this will just be Year 6. Please see the letter below for more details.

Wishing you all a lovely break and i will speak to you all soon.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to all of my lovely Owls and their families, I am missing you sooo much. The next two weeks are for you to enjoy the Easter period. There will be no work set and although Easter may be very different this year I know we are all doing a great job at being stay at home heroes!

Please keep sending me messages on the 'contact Miss Hinch' section on our class pages and keep tweeting me with all of the wonderful things you are up to over the Easter period and I wish you all a happy and safe Easter.

Keeping Healthy and Well-being!

Try to do exercise. You could do one of the Yoga videos that we do in class or a Joe Wicks workout - or why not try to create your own work out.
