Term 3
Our enquiry question this term asks: "What are the wonders of our world?"
Please find our enquiry mat below with key vocabulary, a useful timeline and some key concepts that you might like to research at home.
Please keep checking back on this page to see our learning journey throughout this term.
We kicked off the term looking at the clothes an explorer would wear and discussed Ernest Shackleton, an Antarctic Explorer. We will continue to learn about Ernest's endeavours through our Guided Reading and will write a non-chronological report about him in English.
We also continued to learn about shapes in maths, expanding our vocabulary to include vertex, vertices, symmetry, faces and edges. We then moved onto grouping shapes and creating patterns with them.
Further learning in maths this term will look at money and multiplication and division.
PE this term focuses on Dance and Gymnastics with children choreographing character movements and expression in the former and becoming a champion gymnast in the latter.
We have already learnt that champion gymnasts move silently and point their fingers and toes and have applied this to linking movements across our space.
