Spellings

This week we are focussing on the spelling rule: Challenge words. These are some of the words from the Year3 and 4 common exception word list.

You will need to know your Spelling Shed log in details for some of the games. If you can’t quite remember your log in details, send me a message and I will be able to help you 😊

On Friday, watch the video in the  Video Resource Centre labelled spelling test 12.02.2021 and you will be able to do you spelling test with Mrs Davies.

LO. To understand and use the eight points of a compass to find local locations

Please watch the video in the Video Resource Centre that will guide you through this lesson.

In this lesson, we will be exploring the points of the compass, linking to our learning in Science last term. We will then use our new knowledge to try and identify local locations on a map!

Science

LO. To understand the purpose of muscles and how we use them.

In this lesson we will be exploring the muscles in our bodies, identifying the purpose of them, and investigating how we use them. There is a video in the Video Resource Centre that explains this lesson in more detail.

Internet safety day

Today is Safer Internet Day 2021. We will be doing an assembly about this later on in the school year when we have all returned.

After watching the video, remind yourself about our identifying fake news and how we know if the source (where the news has come from) is reliable. Could you create a poster that identifies three key things you learned from the video? I know Mr Hawkins would love to see these!

In this lesson, we will be exploring different types of families. We will also identify ways that we support each other during difficult times-this is especially important right now.
