This week in English, we are going to continue using the book 'The Rhythm of the Rain' to inspire our writing. Last week, we used a picture of the animals from the book to inspire our dialogue writing between the animals. We have been making great progress with developing our sentence structures. This week, we shall focus on developing our sentence openers using the acronym DADWAVERS. We have briefly used this before in a Big Write, now we shall learn a few different types of sentences each day.
Below are the powerpoints from each lesson which give examples and explain your task. Take your time to develop these sentences, thinking carefully about your vocabulary and engaging the reader. Can the reader picture what you are describing without having the image in front of them?
