LO: To experiment with different pencils and pressure to achieve different line thickness when sketching a coastal landscape

 

In today’s lesson, we shall begin our light sketch of Hokusai’s ‘Great Wave.’ You might wish to experiment with applying different pressures to achieve different line thickness. 

If you have different grades of pencil at home, you might wish to experiment with them and see what different effects you can create.

Next lesson, we shall begin experimenting with adding watercolours to bring the piece alive.
