As a result of receiving our History curriculum at Wyberton Primary Academy, children will leave inspired and prepared for the provision at Key Stage 3. Due to our enquiry based approach to learning, they will be able to ask inquisitive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments and develop their own judgements. The children will have a secure chronological understanding and be able to recall key periods of world, national and local history that they have studied. The children will demonstrate an understanding of society and recognise their place within it, so that they develop a sense of their cultural heritage. As a result of the effective intent and implementation of the History curriculum, our children will leave us with a deep-rooted and natural curiosity to discover more about the past.
