• Our Situation Regarding Proposed Strike Action

  Dear Families,

  As you may be aware from the news recently, one of the teaching unions (the National Education Union) has voted to carry out strike action on several dates:

  • 1^st February – all schools in England and Wales
  • 1^st March – East Midlands, West Midlands
  • 15^th & 16^th March – all schools in England and Wales

  Teachers in this union have the legal right to strike. I have not yet been made aware of the need to close any classes, however I will update families if this changes.

  Dear Parents/carers,

  After the success of our first parent coffee morning we have our next one booked in for November 15^th 9-10am. We wanted to give you advance notice so you can save the date in your diary.

  We are very pleased to be welcoming Helen Lane from Dyslexia Outreach in for this session. She will be sharing ideas and strategies on how children who may have Dyslexic tendencies can be supported at home as well as at school. If you have any concerns about your child’s reading or spelling please feel free to join us for this coffee morning.

  Please keep an eye out for a letter coming home early next term.

• Welcome Back & Pre-Loved Uniform

  Dear families,

  Welcome back to school. It has been a wonderful first day back for the children and adults and we can tell that this is going to be a very successful year.

  We have a significant amount of pre-loved uniform that we would like to offer to families for no cost – there are a range of sizes and a vast array of jumpers, skirts, shorts etc. Tomorrow morning at 8:30am, Mrs Snaith will be at the front of the school with this pre-loved uniform. You are welcome to help yourself to whatever you may need – if you would like to give a small donation, then you are welcome to do so, but we do not require this.
