Week 1 

We celebrated Halloween and Bonfire night! We explored pumpkins and talked about the texture of them and what’s inside. We made some beautiful firework pictures using chalks, paint, glitter and flour! We also learnt how we keep safe on bonfire night too. 

Week 2

We have been learning about the importance of remeberance day and why we wear a poppy. The children made some lovely finger print poppies using paint and took part in the two minute silence. In maths we have been learning to recognise the number 2 and had great fun applying our skills into a play dough activity. 

Week 3

This week we had a special visit from Pudsey Bear! We all loved meeting him and having a photo as well as a little dance! We have been learning all about children in need and why we raise money every year. We have also enjoyed some pudsey arts and crafts 🤩 

Week 4

This week we have learnt about three coloured patterns in our maths sessions and having a go at creating our own. We have also looked at safety in the home and identified objects that are dangerous and why. We also introduced our Christmas post office and nativity scene. We have had a very busy but exciting week! 

Week 5

This week we made our own craft wreaths using a paper plate, we coloured them in and glued on feathers and stickers. You all made amazing wreaths! We have enjoyed lots of Christmas crafts too. 

Week 6 & 7

We have been practising for our Nativity performance this term. We all learnt lots of new songs and dressed up ready to show our parents our fantastic singing! We had lots of fun at the Christmas party too and did lots of singing and dancing. We hope you all have a lovely Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in the new year.
