Wyberton Primary Academy

Week commencing 18th January

Hello Honey Bees,

I hope you are all well and thank you for sending me images of your work last week. It was lovely to see some of you last week virtually; I hope you will be able to join me for story time this week and make an online booking with me! This is a great way for you to show me all your amazing work and for me to give you some feedback about your work.

Here is a suggested timetable for the week to help you structure your time. This is what the Key Worker children in the Year 5 bubble will be doing, so what is happening in school is the same as what is being delivered to you at home. All videos for this week can be found on the Video Resource Centre: https://wyberton-primary-academy.primarysite.media/playlist/year-5

For some documents, you will see they mention an extra video to follow. In addition to the main video, I will film myself teaching the keyworker children so you can have some extra input if you would like. Please let me know if you would like anything else creating for you as a video.

In PSHE this term, we will be learning about 'Digital Literacy'. This PowerPoint will provide you with the teaching for this lesson and information about your activity. You will need to look at the sources document also.

Topic

Please use the PowerPoint to continue to explore learning for our enquiry question. This week we are exploring Tudor crime! The instructions for your activity are in the PowerPoint – you will need one of the sheets from your pack – please follow the instructions so you know which sheet to complete and which parts. The document has also been included below if you need to copy the table into your book in case you cannot find the sheet.

Science

This lesson, we will focus on presenting and publishing scientific data. We will use data linked to the growth of babies to continue our theme of growing and changing. The video in the Resource Centre discusses this PowerPoint with you, however it is also included below so you can refer back to information to support with your activity.

There is a scaffold to support some of you to present your data – if you normally work in a guided group with an adult - you many find this helpful!
