Hello Honey Bees,
It has been lovely to hear from you last week – I’m enjoying seeing you at story time or in a Bookings. Thank you for all your hard work and for continuing to be stay at home superheroes.I hope you will be able to join me for story time this week and make an online booking with me! This is a great way for you to show me all your amazing work and for me to give you some feedback about your work.
Here is a suggested timetable for the week to help you structure your time. This is what the Key Worker children in the Year 5 bubble will be doing, so what is happening in school is the same as what is being delivered to you at home. Friday 12th February 9:30am – Live Trial of Robin Hood and End of Term Celebrations It would be great to see as many of you as possible at our end of term TEAMs celebration. I have emailed your parents the link so you can join – if you have not received it please contact me. It will be great to all get together over TEAMs so we can see each other and have a catch up and also if you would like you can share your speech and we can have a real trial of Robin Hood. There will be no pressure to read your speech out-loud as we will need jury members, but if some of you are brave enough to, it will be great to hear your arguments! I really hope all honey bee pupils will be able to join us for this celebration!
Maths
Below you will find your Maths lessons and which arithmetic you should complete this week. Please watch the videos in the Resource Centre for your input. This week we are continuing our learning of Statistics and our learning of this will also be applied in your Science lesson this week. You will find the answers below for you to check your progress when you have finished your lesson.
Maths lesson 4 – warm-up - Maths Shed with a focus on Times Tables
main activity – CGP Targeted Question Book page 72 and 73. In this lesson, you will need to apply what you have learnt about tables and timetables over the week. There is no additional input for this video, however if you need help, please make a Bookings appointment and I will gladly support you.

English
Below you will find your four English lessons for the week, each document includes a lesson warm up which you will need your CGP books for, the learning objective and instructions.
During this week’s lessons, we will be preparing to present our speech to the Sheriff of Nottingham. If you need some extra time to finish your story for Miss Lineker’s writing competition (deadline Monday 8th 1pm) then do this in English Lesson 1 and merge English Lesson 3 and 4 together to give yourself an extra time. I really hope you will be able to join us for our live trial in the classroom via TEAMs.
Big Write
This week, our Big Write is inspired by the theme of the RSPB Bird Watch Week. Watch the film: Blackbird (by clicking in the link on the timetable or below) and write his story. Your focus is to include relative clauses.

PSHE
This week in PSHE, we are continuing our work linked to Online Safety by exploring how information can be shared over digital devices.
Please read the information in the PowerPoint, it includes some questions for you to think about and consider and also your activity.
Topic
We are going to finalise our learning this term by exploring changes to rates and crimes in the 20th Century and then explore some positive proverbs. Please read the information in the PowerPoint below which has information, questions to think about and instructions for your activity.
Science
This lesson, you will be using the information about gestation periods from last week to compare with life expectancies to see if there is a relationship between the two! Read the PowerPoint which includes a warm-up activity and a brief overview of your main task. Full instructions for your learning this week can be found in the PDF document.
P.E.
This week, we are continuing with the Key Shapes challenges. This is the 3rd challenge linked to shape. I would love to add some photos to the gallery below of the shapes you create or any other physical activities you are doing.
