Good morning Fox Class,

I am so sorry we can’t be together again in class but we still need to continue to be stay at home superheroes. I am looking forward to talking to you on Teams or on the phone. 

The remote learning on this page will be set out in the same format as when we were previously doing Remote Learning. There will be clear links to any videos needed for the lessons and look out for any additional videos in response to feedback being given.

If you need to contact me please use the contact me section at the bottom of our class page, send me an email, or book a bookings appointment. I will be available every morning between 9:45 and 10:45 am and every afternoon between 1:00 and 2:00 pm. For the next three days, we will start the day with a get-together at 9 am so that we can continue to connect with each other. Storytime and mindfulness will take place every day at 11 am.

The ultimate times table challenge

For today’s lesson we will be focusing on times table and division. You will need to log in to your Ed Shed account and click on Maths Shed. On here you will find lots of times table and division questions. You need to do at least five of the tasks and you may even choose to do them all. You may want to focus on the times tables that you are finding particularly tricky!

LO. To recap how to find fractions of amounts.

For this lesson, you will need to find pages 34 and 36 in your Maths Targeted Question Book. There will be a video in the Video Resource Centre from Mrs Davies that models how to do this.

 

Maths lesson 2

31.03.2021

LO. To gain a secure understanding of using the column method when adding and subtracting.

For the final Maths lesson, we are going to revisit using the column method to solve addition and subtraction problems. There will be a video in the video resource centre that models how to do this. You will need to find pages 20 and 21 in your Maths Targeted Questioning Book.

This week in English we are going to continue our learning about newspaper reports. There is a video for each lesson in the Video Resource Centre. As you send me your work, you may find additional videos in the Video Resource Centre to help with

misunderstandings.

Monday 29th   March 2021

LO. To write a non-chronological report about droughts.

For this week’s Big Write, I would like us to think about other ways that water can affect communities in a huge way when experience droughts. Watch the video in the Video Resource Centre that explains today’s lesson in more detail.

 

English lesson 1

Tuesday 30th March 2021

LO. To understand the difference between direct speech and report speech.

In this lesson, you will use your Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling Targeted Question Book (pages 62-63) to gain an understanding of targeted speech and reported speech. There will be a video in the Video Resource Centre from Mrs Davies that explains how this is used in newspaper reports.

 You will need to click on the link below and type in the class code when prompted to gain access to the E-book. Mrs Davies has also created a ‘how to guide’ that you can view in Video Resource Centre. When you have completely finished the book, there is a quick quiz to complete at the end.

Today’s P.E lesson is focusing on being active. Have a look at the activity card and there is also a video from the Youth Sports Trust to show what to do.
