Welcome back to the Spring Term. We hope that everyone has had an amazing Christmas and a Happy New Year! We have lots of fun and engaging learning taking place this term including learning about different people and where they live, drawing portraits in the style of Pablo Picasso, Our bodies and their 5 sense and much more!

Enquiry - Geography 

This term our enquiry has a geography driver. 

This week we learnt all about where we are in the world. We learnt that our school is in the Village Wyberton, close the town Boston and in the Country England. We learnt that the United Kingdom is made up of 4 countries and looked closer at what is in our area. 

Maths - Understanding numbers to 20.

This week in Maths, we have been learning and understanding all about numbers to 20. We have explored different ways numbers to 20 can be represented, grouped objects into groups of ten and learnt that a group of ten is the same as ten ones. 

Writing - The three little pigs. 
This week in English we have been exploring our new book “The three little pigs”. We have been sequencing the story, creating our own story maps with full stops, acting the story out, collecting vocabulary and practising writing sentences with capital letters and full stops.
 

DT - Smoothies 

This term in DT we are making our own fruit smoothies. Today we learnt what a smoothie is and we evaluated two existing smoothies to see if we liked them and predicted what’s fruits were inside.
