Welcome back to term 6, the final term of the year. We hope you all had a lovely half term break and are well rested for the busy term we have ahead.

Careers and Money week

Fantastic start to careers and money week today in Year 1. We started by discussing our own dreams and ambitions and what career we might like to have when we are older and why. 

We then started to look at our own skills and star qualities that we have already. 
 

In Maths we discussed why we need money, what we can spend our money on and what we can do if we don’t have enough money. 

Kuk Sol Won workshop. 
Year 1 loved their Kuk Sol Won workshop today, learning all about how defend themselves and keep themselves safe through blocks and sequenced moves. 
 

Sports day 

A fantastic team effort across the whole school for sports day. Well done everyone in a year 1 for participating in all the races. 
 

Maths - Money

Year 1 have enjoyed learning all about money this week and have been very enthusiastic about using the pretend coins to recognise the coins, compare and add amounts. 
 

Water, sun and road safety. 
Year 1 have been learning all about how to stay safe in the sun and around water and roads. The completed various rope playing activists and shared key learning with each other. 

KS1 - Field events

Year 1 participated in their Key Stage 1 field events today. Applying what they had learnt in last terms PE to complete the javelin, shot put and discuss events. Everyone did amazing!
