We introduced our topic "Who lives in the woods?" and began our first story 'Goldilocks and the three bears'. We have done cutting skills of the bears, size ordering the bears, creating our own bear using different materials and observing some yummy porridge! We have really enjoyed learning all about the story and the characters. 

This week our focus story has been 'We are going on a bear hunt' we have loved singing along to the song and joining in with the story! We have enjoyed practising our fine motor skills by following the bears path along the bear hunt using a pencil. We have also gone on our own bear hunt around the school grounds and we found a very special bear hiding in the garden along with the story book! The children were so happy when we found the bear after a very good hunt! We have done lots of exciting activities linked to the story. 

This week our story has been 'The Gruffolo' we have been listening to the story book and the animation. We used puppets to re-tell the story and made our own Gruffolo out of brown playdough. We have also made some owl ice cream in the play dough kitchen! We have had an exciting week with lots of gruffolo themed activities.
