Week 1:

The children had a great first few days at school settling in and making new friends. We read 'Pete the Cat Rocking in My New School Shoes'. We toured the school rocking in our new school shoes!

Week 2:

This week we read the story 'What Makes Me a Me?'. We talked about our likes and dislikes and what we are good at. We looked at our faces in a mirror, and talked about our features From this, we created self-portraits.

Phonics

This week we began our teaching of Little Wandle Phonics. The children have enjoyed learning a new phoneme each day and writing the corresponding grapheme.
