In Maths this week, our two lessons are focusing on multiplication and division. After last week, we know how a much better understanding of how to use long multiplication. Monday's activities will involve using these to solve a range of complex problems. Friday's lesson will explore the method of division - it is a recap lesson making sure that we can use the method appropriately.

This week, our Big Write sessions will focus on the video called 'Chaperon Rouge' - you can watch it on either of the links below:

Spelling

Spellings are focusing on words with a 'soft c' spelled /ce/. You will find two days of activities below, and then you should complete the assignments on Spelling Shed like we usually do on Wednesday & Thursday. Ask your family members to test you on Friday and let me know your score.

Reading

Below, you will find five days of activities for our Reading lessons this week. We are continuing to read the Remembrance Day comprehension activity from last week on Monday - Wednesday. Thursday and Friday involve a cold task, reading the 60 Second Read activity.

Topic

Our Topic lesson this week is continuing our learning of World War One. This week, we are exploring the geographical aspects of how countries' borders have changed over time (due to the First World War). We will also be studying the alliances made between different countries during this time.

I have attached the resources and PowerPoint information for you to access below. There is also a very good lesson on this aspect of WW1 at the Oak National Academy - although it is aimed at KS3, you will be able to access most of the information:

Art

Our Art lessons this week will explore the work of Pop Artists such as Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Have a look through the information below for lesson 1 and then lesson 2 involves you experimenting with the methods yourself. This will then lead to you creating a Christmas card and your calendar when you are back in school.

P.E

Get moving with one of Joe Wicks' videos! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhFmi_OaBG4

We will be learning how to play hockey in school, so you could watch some videos on Youtube of how to play: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X95xGvmIuf4

R.E

In our R.E lessons, we will continue to explore how Christians worship and use their ideas of God from the Bible. Take a look here for a video, activities and a quiz:

P.S.H.E

In P.S.H.E, we are focusing on what makes us amazing and so unique. I'd like you to reflect on what makes you special - what are you good at? What would people say about your personality? What are the unique things to you? Have a chat about these with your family and tell them the qualities which make them amazing too.
