Term 1 Did WW1 or WW2 have the biggest impact on our locality?

Welcome to our class page's first enquiry. On this page, you will find out all of the exciting things that Deer class have been doing.

This term's news letter is attached below.

At the beginning of this term, we are exploring the book 'War horse' by Michael Morpurgo, ready to write our own narrative.

In Maths, Year 6 have been focusing on the place value of numbers up to 10,000,000.

This term, we were very fortunate to have the opportunity to experience a WW1/WW2 History workshop- this enhanced our learning especially about how the wars affected our local area.

In our books, we learnt about how the wars affected children in Boston and learnt lots of key facts and dates. We were able to use our learning to write a response to the enquiry question.

Science- Light

There have been so many opportunities to develop our knowledge and understanding of light- it was a great opportunity to retrieve learning from Year 3 too!

Forest School

In computing this term, we used the BBC micro bit website to design a programmable toy.

Parent Event-WW2 Tea party

The children showcase their learning in PE by performing a WW2 dance. The children had the opportunity to teach their families a new dance whilst enjoying a cup of tea and some cake.
