Phonics

This week we are going to be learning about the single sound 'u'. Please support your child in accessing the stories and information about this sound in the 'meet the Letterlanders' section of Phonics Online. We will be reading the phonic reader "Mop it up". Please also access the decodable sentences for session 17.

PSED

This week we will be learning about keeping ourselves safe indoors and outdoors. We will discuss safety in rooms such as kitchens and how the children should not touch items such as kettles, ovens and plug sockets. Outside we will think again about stranger danger and what to do if we see things like broken glass, barbed wire and some typesof plant.

Art

This week we will be building on the bird drawing and painting skills that the children showed last week. We are going to try to draw pheasants by looking closely at pictures of them and trying to recreate the basic shape of the bird and place the colours in the correct spaces.
