Science - Exploring Sound
Today, during Science we explored sound and how it travels. We looked inside the ear to see how the vibrations pass through the ear canal and then proceed to the brain. We explored using String telephones and compared lengths to see if it made a difference. The children thoroughly enjoyed this experiment.
PSHE -Zones of Regulation
Today, we explored formal and informal language and how it is used ready for writing our dairy entry. The children acted out different scenarios and then performed them to the class for us to guess which language style they were performing. The children were able to grasp this concept and develop their understanding whilst engaged in the lesson.
The Water Cycle
Today we explored the water cycle as part of our enquiry this term. What Journey does a raindrop take? We looked at essential vocabulary and the process and steps water takes. The children then monitored their experiment to see the changes. The children thoroughly enjoyed creating and exploring the water cycle.
High Ropes Group 1
The Year 4 sports trip, was a rollercoaster of emotions, many conquered their fear of heights whilst others pushed their limits further. I am so proud of everyone for trying their best no matter how far or high they got. Well done Badgers!!
River Models
In today's lesson, we created River models to finish our topic: What Journey does a raindrop take?
The children were able to retrieve lots from their topic and were able to design, create and label a 3D model. The children really enjoyed making their models.
