Wyberton Primary Academy

Partnership & Networks

Our Trust academies work closely with the LEAD Teaching School Hub and other local schools.

Teaching schools hubs are outstanding schools that work with other schools, of any type, to provide high-quality training and development to new and experienced school staff. Teaching School Hubs are part of the government initiative to encourage, enable and empower school to school support. The hubs have been given this central role in raising standards by instigating a self-improving and sustainable school-led system.

Teaching School Hubs work with schools in their local area to identify, develop and co-ordinate expertise for the benefit of all children.

As a school, we work closely within these hubs and with other schools. Some of our work includes Peer Review and working as Local Leaders of Education (LLE)/ Specialist Leaders of Education (SLE).

We also work closely with St Leodogar's Church and one of our governors, Reverend Sudharshan. Each class visits the church at least once each academic year to enrich their curriculum, and we are lucky to have Reverend Sudharshan visit school on many occasions. If you would like more information about the church, please visit their website.

Our school also works collaboratively with other schools for Writing moderation. Not only do we moderate with other schools within Infinity Academies Trust, but we also work with other schools within Lincolnshire. We work closely with Catherine Caldwell too, who has led moderation and CPD for our Writing Leads, as well as sessions for teachers in all year groups.

Working with our Community Champions

We are delighted to be able to work with our local retail stores in the community. The Coop and The Spar shop, have supported the school for many years by providing contributions of food, drink and raffle prizes at our parent engagement events. We are also fortunate to have excellent partnerships and links with the Community Champions from Asda and Tesco who work with the school on a variety of projects throughout the year. Providing resources for our Christingles or working with pupils to make healthy snacks or smoothies are just one of the things we are fortunate to have support with. These retailers have also welcomed our pupils into their stores during our Careers and Money week, enabling them to experience the world of work first hand, enabling our pupils to truly flourish. In return, during the run up to Christmas, our Academy choir visits their local community stores to share their love of singing with the shoppers and wider community.
