We are all very excited to welcome you back to Autumn Term 2. We have lots of exciting learning activities taking place this term including the launch of our business and enterprise curriculum and our Christmas art.

Science 

In science this term, we are learning about electricity and how to make electrical circuits for the first time. We have enjoyed experimenting with making our own circuits and checking they work. We progressed by adding motors and switches to our circuits and were amazed when we were able to make the paper spin around acting as a fan. 

Maths 

After learning various methods for multiplying and dividing, we learnt how to make the inverse by manipulating parts of the number sentence. 

P.E. 

This term we are learning how to play volleyball. We have been learning the basic skills required for the game including hand eye coordination, ball control and how to make an accurate dig shot. 

Computing 

We are learning how to create programmes on MakeCode for our Micro-Bits. We asked some of our experts (Year 6) to join us and help us with the programming. 

Business and Enterprise 

In preparation for our annual Christmas Fair, we have been researching and creating our own business. We showed collaboration, problem skills and more as we worked out our finances, conducted customer research and created our logo. 
 

We cannot wait to make and sell our product at this year’s event. 

We thoroughly enjoyed making our product. 

Anti-bullying day. 
 

We are all different and that’s what makes us special so why not celebrate this with an odd socks day? 

Geography 

This term we are learning about the human and physical features in America. We used our geographical skills to identify various cities and countries in North and South America. 

Writing 

We kickstarted our narrative learning by delving into our picture hook. What is happening? What can we see? What do we think is happening? What came before? Who are the characters?
