Term 6 - What journey does a raindrop take?

This term we have lots of exciting and engaging learning taking place as well as extra-curricular activities including our careers week and Sports Day. Our enquiry driver this term is Geography and our question is 'what journey does a raindrop take?' We will be learning about the water cycle as well as the features and locations of rivers.

Please see below our enquiry mat and newsletter for this term.

Writing

We are learning how to write a diary entry in our writing lessons this term. As part of this, we have spent time exploring and gathering vocabulary that we could use to describe our day.

Science

We are learning about sound in our Science lessons this term. We have had lots of fun learning that all sounds create vibrations and that sound waves travel through the air to our ears which is how we hear different sounds.

Art

This term we are developing our painting skills as we learn how to create tones through tints and shades. We have been exploring our skills by applying it to help us with recreating the great wave by Hokusai.

P.E.

We have been learning the skills that are needed to play rounders. We have learnt how to bowl and bat as well as how to position ourselves as fielders.
