Welcome to the Spring term in Year 4. We hope you have had a magical Christmas and we are all very excited to have everyone back in school. 

This term our enquiry question is 'What happened when the Romans came to Britain?' and has a history driver.

Writing 

We kickstarted the term through exploration of Roman myths. We showed curiosity, collaboration and we used our inference skills to predict which period of time we will be writing about by analysing a variety of sources. We then read different Roman myths before using drama to act them out. 

P.E.

This term we are learning about the skills needed to be a gymnast and a dancer. We have been busy learning how to create different shapes in gymnastics and in dance, we have created our own dance routines.  

History 

What happened when the Romans came to Britain? 
We began our learning by understanding who the Romans were and investigating why we think the Romans chose to invade Britain. 

Computing 

We are learning how to use the various instruments in garage band to create a piece of music.
