This week we have been getting to know the new children and learning about dinosaurs as part of our footprints topic. We made a paper plate dinosaur - using paint and a paper plate! We had lots of fun being creative and giving our dinosaur names. What a great first week back!

This week our maths focus is patterns, we went outside onto the school grounds and found natural resources to create patterns with. We used sticks and stones, the children took it in turn to find the next repeating pattern object. We also enjoyed some colour sorting, outdoor water play and number formation.  

We have had an exciting day celebrating VE day, we made a union jack flag, had a picnic, enjoyed some selfies in the photobooth and did some learning about the war. We also had lots of outdoor fun in the sunshine too!

This week we have enjoyed lots of painting! We have a brand new outside easel which we was all very excited to use! The children painted some amazing pictures in the sunshine. We also used our animal figures to create footprints in the paint. 

This week we had a sun and road safety day! We talked about how to keep us safe in the sun and when we are crossing the road. We also made wooden spoon people with lots of arts and crafts materials.
